Gamma Psi Nu Musical Fraternity Inc. was founded on the campus of Martin Luther King Jr. Sr. High School on December 23rd, 1992. The purpose of the Fraternity was and still is Academic Excellence, Musical Superiority, Constant Achievement, and the Perpetual Improvement of our Musical Surroundings.
Since our creation we have fostered the minds of various business owners, tradesmen, many professional musicians, educators on the middle, high school, and collegiate level, as well as members who are actively involved in the music industry as composers, producers, DJs, and engineers.
We currently have chapters at 5 high schools across 3 states and are constantly growing our high school membership. We also have 2 alumni chapters who focus on building businesses in the community and performing community services. One of those such programs is called the Young Men of Music initiative. That program will supplement the musical education that students receive as well as implementing life skills to produce productive, well rounded global citizens.
